Export Layers Individually

It would be much faster and simpler to have a right-click option on a layer to “Export Layer As…” with common formats like JPEG, PNG, etc. Unless that already exists somewhere?

It is already a thing. Right click on the layer and you'll see it.

Open new file and drag the layer, works pretty easy.

It's already there (Export As...), you select the format and options in the next window, not in the first contextual right click menu:

I'm guessing that you're referring to the File > Export > Layers to Files... script as what you would like an alternative to?
