Exported pictures change in colors in .jpg and .png

Hi

I have some problems with the new version of PS v20.

I have edited a picture and saved it as .tiff. When converting the picture to .jpg or .png the colors change and looks more dark and colorless.

a snip from my browser program.

I have tried to see if any of the export settings was different and tried to turn of "Export as sRGB" but same outcome. Saving directly in PS to .jpg makes the same problem with the picture.

Then I tried to find some of my old pictures and did a convert of the picture and I can't see any differences between .tiff and .jpg

As far as I remember the earlier version I had was standard setup with no changes to color profiles and so on and I haven't changed anything in the v.20.

So far I have tried to change the Color Settings to:

RGB: ProPhoto RGB - no difference in output

sRGB IEC61966-2.1 - no difference in output

Monitor RGB - sRGB IEC61966-2.1 - no difference in output

I noticed the Advanced Controls where it says "Desaturate Monitor Colors By 20%". It's standard and not turned on. Why I mention this is because when I do turn it on it's actually makes the picture as the output I get. So somehow it desaturate my pictures by 20% when converting the .tiff to .jpg

Any ideas what is going on or wrong? Do I need to change something or is there a problem with PS v20?

I did found what the problem was. When importing raw pictures into PS I have in the old version changed the import color profile (not sure if it's the right term for it) from Adobe to the sRGB IEC61966-2.1 as shown in the picture in the middle.

Once changed it keept the colors when exporting and also uses the color profile everytime I import a new raw.

I didn't notice this when importing pictures and then all the colors was off by about 20% compared to what I have in my pictures.

That's what I said: convert to sRGB and embed the profile.

You're still missing the point. You can work in any color space you like, sRGB, Adobe RGB, doesn't matter. But when posting on the web, always convert to sRGB and make sure the profile is embedded. Done. That's all you need to think about.

Using Save For Web or Export you need to check these options manually because they're off by default. In a regular Save As you use Edit > Convert to Profile, but the profile will then be embedded by default.

And even so, you will only see a perfect match in applications/web browsers that actually are color managed. Most major browsers today are. Without color management, sRGB is your insurance that it should at least display roughly right.

Also, you have Color management policies for RGB set to Off, which means that if the original file is in a color space other than sRGB, it won't be color managed.

So in addition to the advice given by https://forums.adobe.com/people/D%20Fosse  above, set RGB Color management policies to Preserve embedded profiles, then restart Photoshop, repeat the export, and make sure that the sRGB profile is embedded.

Holy cow, I missed that...no wonder the OP has problems!

Yes, set it to "Preserve Embedded Profiles" and don't ever touch it again.

When exporting, convert to sRGB and embed the profile. This is off by default. Then view the result in a web browser that supports full color management. Otherwise all bets are off.

Color Settings are just defaults for new files. In existing files, the embedded profile will always override the working space.

Okay. Well I'm not sure how to correct it in the newest version 20.

Reinstalled the 19 and it worked perfectly right away so something must have been changed but I can't seem to find what or where they have changed it?
