Feathering when Feather Value set to Zero

I can't seem to turn off Feathering (not that I recall turning it on) and now I can't cleanly fill a selection even when the feather value is set to zero. Is this a bug, or did photoshop auto-update and change something while I wasn't looking?

Hi @TachyonLiz,

Thanks for sharing the screenshots that help. From what I see, the selection edges look fine in the mask. Would you mind sharing the affected PSD with us via DM so we can further check it? Also, could you please share a short screen recording of your workflow, from creating the selection through applying the fill? That would give us a clearer sense of where the edge is softening unexpectedly.
