File link to Browse in bridge not working.

Question

Hi Folks, hope you can help me. 02/06/2024 and I've just updated Photoshop CC and Bridge and now when I open PS it loads ok, but when I click on File and then Broswe in Bridge, Bridge doesn't open.

If I return to the Home page for the apps and click on the Bridge app dirctly, it looks like it has worked, but then when you click on an image, it is opened in Lightroom?? I've now uninstalled LR and LR Classic and now the image is opened in a basic editing window which doesn't even look like PS or LR anymore.

What's happened to the Browse in bridge link via File and how do I get it working again?

Not a direct answer, however, the Browse in Bridge option can be scripted as a workaround with additional feature to actually browse the current location of the active image:
