File not opening on new 2025 Photoshop

I was working on a psd file and I was able to open it just fine on 2024 Photoshop but when I got the new 2025 Photoshop I could no longer open the file. When I tried to open it a popup would come up saying that the file is not able to open and I had to restart photoshop. Not sure what the problem is.

Similar issue. Can’t open a new file. There is enough of a free space on the disc.

@Pixellilo you’ll need to provide more information, how large is the file you’re trying to open and how much free space do you have for the scratch disk

You mentioned you had to restart Photoshop. After the restart, has it worked?

Hi @frank_2199 if you can, go to Photoshop 2025 help/menu/system info and copy and paste the entire report in a reply. Where is the psd in question located?
