Filter Gallery filters won't preview or apply.

I can open the filter gallery and see the image but there is no preview of the filter. And the filter doesn't apply when I click ok.  This is the case with any image, all RGB, 8 bit. What am missing? Thanks!

Thank you all for the suggestions.  I tried everything but ended up uninstalling/reinstalling the app which solved everything. Thanks again!

To anyone else that encounters this problem. make sure that your colour picker on the left. which sets foreground and background colour is set to black and white. Was battling this same issue for over an hour. Hope this helps.

I had the same problem as many claim here.  You have to select the part of the image you want the filter applied.  Felt stupid after realizing this.  You can do the whole layer/image or just a part of it, which is kind of cool.

Bello guys. Having kind the same problem here. Im trying to apply a normal map on my layer and It Works. But as im Rolling the sliders back and forth, my preview of the image(sphere) isnt refreshing. But when i click OK for the filter to apply, It transforms de layer correctly into the normal map. It ia working properly, but the annoyance of not previewing it, os killing me.

Any toughts on whats is going on?

And that was more efficient than at least posting a screenshot?

Since I had been experiencing the problem for the last few weeks on any image, yes, it was more efficient.   Thanks.

alo could be that you have a small selection on the screen and you are not zoomed enough to see the preview since the filter is looking to see it...

Another mistake  if the file is high res the filter need to be activated with with larger numbers like Blur needs to be more than 4.0.....

    Also is the layer locked?

A common problem is not having the Eye(s) enabled next to the effect(s).

Could you please post meaningful screenshots – one with the pertinent Panels (Layers, Channels, Options Bar, …) visible and one with the Filter dialog?

    Is a Selection active?

Which exact Filters Gallery Filters are affected or is it all of them?

    Hi

I had an issue like that before and resetting the preferences fixed it for me
