Font size too small in Photoshop

Hey everyone,
I’m using Photoshop (latest version) and I’ve noticed that the font size looks way too small, even when I set it to a large value. The text appears tiny on my canvas compared to what it should be.

Has anyone else faced this issue? Could it be related to resolution, DPI, or display scaling settings? Any fix would be appreciated!

This is a common issue! It’s usually caused by high-resolution displays or mismatched DPI settings. Try going to Edit → Preferences → Interface and set UI Scaling to “100%” or “Auto.” Also, make sure your document resolution is around 72 PPI for screen projects — that should make text sizes appear normal again.

Hi @Flamboyant_fact0226, I'm just checking in to see if the suggestion helped or if you are still running into this issue?

Things to check if text looks tiny in Photoshop:

1. As recommended, check your Document Resolution – High PPI (e.g., 300) makes text look small. https://adobe.ly/4pjOv5K

2. Display Scaling – On Windows, disable “Override High DPI Scaling” in Photoshop.exe properties.

3. Check your UI Scaling – In Photoshop: Edit > Preferences > Interface > UI Scaling (Auto/100%/200%). https://adobe.ly/49YIkzn

Here is some more information on formatting characters in Photoshop: https://adobe.ly/4oHU9OX. Let us know how things are going. Happy to keep troubleshooting with you if needed. Thanks! ^CH

Yeah, that usually happens when your document’s resolution or display scaling is off. Try setting your canvas to 72 PPI for screen work, or check Preferences → Interface → UI Scaling to adjust how text appears. That usually fixes the tiny font issue.
