Fonts Disappear and Favorited Fonts Don't Save

This has happened several times and I'm going insane. I upload fonts and add them to my favorites and then they don't show up in photoshop, I've done everything I can think of to fix this issue but nothing sticks. The fonts I uploaded won't show up in Creative Cloud either but when I redownload them it says the font has already been downloaded. I'm at my wits end and am about to cancel my subscriptions because this issue is so prevelant and frustrating, so if anyone has suggestions for other programs I'd appreciate it.
