Generative expand does not work with Version 26.5.0

Question

After I installed the new version 26.5.0 of Photoshop 2025 on my MacBook Pro w/M3 Pro running on Sequoia 15.3.2, the Generative Expand functionality stopped working.  Instead of generating perfectly matching expanding content as it did before, the image disappears from the screen and the 3 proposed expansions show content that is totally unrelated to my picture.  Has anyone else encoutered this issue, and is there a fix?  Thank you in advance for your help.

The new 26.5 has been replaced with (buggy) v26.6. MacOS is now 15.4.1.

I don't think AI is stable yet; I'm surprised you had perfect results.

Consider upgrading the OS first, then the app.

Also, a screenshot or better description of the steps you have taken would help us see the issue.
