Generative fill box dissapeared

I have previously used Generative fill, but at some point the command box stopped appearing even when a selection is made.

I have been under window and ticked contextual task bar, which only gives me the command bar below, but i cannot get the task bar which allows you to write a prompt. 

Photoshop is the latest version via Creative Cloud. Any ideas appreciated, thank you.
