Hey Danieds! Welcome to the Photoshop Community.

I'll need more details to help you. What version of Photoshop and Windows are you using?

Could you post a screenshot of the error?

Try these steps and let us know how it goes.

Launch Windows Defender from the Control Panel. Click Allow an app or feature through Windows Defender Firewall. Add Photoshop.exe and Creative Cloud.exe Click back at the top left. Click Advanced settings.

Click on Inbound Rules. Make sure that you allow on both Private and Public for Adobe Photoshop 2024 and Creative Cloud.

Click on Outbound rules. Look for "Adobe Unlicensed Pop-up". Click on it and then click Disable Rule.

Then relaunch Photoshop and try the Generative Fill again.

Thanks,

Shivani

The answer identified as correct is not a solution for people who have no control over their firewall - when is Adobe going to address this?

The answer provided does not resolve the issue in a secured domain environment. Please provide the solution to correct this issue in a secured domain environment. Disabling the firewal is not a solution!

I have the same issue. My corporate network firewall is blocking generative fill - but I am not sure which addresses and ports I should give to network administrator for the exception. I cannot use direct access to web due to policies but need to access generative fill

This does not work in a high security environment controlled by domain policies. Try again!!!! It appears to be more of a proxy issue where generative ai attempts to hit the internet without going through the proxy. However there does not appear to be a way to configure the proxy settings for photshop generative ai. Creative Cloud uses the proxy and connects to resources no issue. WHY does generative ai not follow the same path through the proxy server???????????????
