Generative Fill & Expand Creates Visible Seam / Horizontal Band at Image Boundary

Generative Fill / Fill & Expand creates a visible horizontal seam at the boundary of the original image. The generated area does not blend seamlessly with the existing background and introduces an artificial brightness/color band exactly where the original image ends. This happens even with an empty prompt on a simple, smooth wall background.

There’s an issue with over bright layers you might be seeing on your screen. I wonder if that could happen if you extend on a new layer?

Thanks for checking. The line is visible exactly at the boundary where the Generative Fill area meets the original image. There is a visible horizontal seam, along with a noticeable brightness/color difference around it.

I’m also attaching a screen recording that shows the entire process and the issue appearing immediately after Generative Fill is applied. Please watch the video as well, as it makes the problem much easier to see and confirms that the seam is introduced by Generative Fill.

I will also attach an image with the affected area clearly marked.

Here is a screen recording demonstrating the issue in real time. The problem occurs when using Firefly Fill & Expand with an empty prompt.
