Question

Generative Fill - Generate similar objects in different photos?

I would like to know - working on a photo series - if there is any way to create with Generative fill/Firefly closely similar objects or characters in different photos (of the series). I'm happy with GF as another tool PS can offer to us but considering working with a series of photos there can be a problem if every outcome of GF looks very different, especially in different photos. Not knowing anything about "the inner life pf PS", my "solution" would be that there could be available some cross reference between photos in creatiing new variants. What do you think?

Hey, @tuomasvirtanen.fi. Thanks for the feedback.

Reference images can help you fill this gap in your workflow. You can add a reference image and pair the image with a descriptive text prompt to have more control over the result you generate. You'll need Photoshop (beta) to try this for now.

Let me know if this helps. Thanks!

Thanks for this comment! Is there any straightforward way to make one of those AI creations as a reference source - of course, I can make a clip but does that work?? So far, not found time to experiment.

One more, well, ridiculous exprerience with the Generate function. I would have liked to have a man rowing a rowboat away from the "camera". This was, and has been, clearly too demanding for the Generate functionality; It doesn't understand directions, left, right, etc., unfortunately; Men did row to every possible direction regardless of my wish and they did sit in a wrong position related to the direction the rowboats do usually go 😆 !! The *fun did begin* with the further generations of the functionality, from the pictures IT had produced BY ITSELF: I was informed that I need to follow Adobe's rules!!!! What else had I done? The pictures were Adobe's creations! I had not asked men with nude upper part of the body but I guess these Adobe's creations were esteemed to be indecent - I'm innocent, sure, but I'm now laughing here in my study! How ridiculous! I attach here  screencaptures of those indecent Adobe's creations! As you can get upset DO NOT LOOK at them! All comments welcome - but let's keep the sense of humor up! 🤣
