Generative fill mask issue

I'm having a problem keeping generative fill results within the selection. I have feathering in the main PS selection dropdown set to zero. I used the magic wand tool to create the selection. Does generative fill have its own expanded masking going on that ignores my mask? I ask because the area that gets regenerated is a lot larger than my mask.

@digitaldaydreams Yes, you are right. Adobe does this for a reason, it's designed to help the AI blend the new generation with the surrounding pixels to avoid harsh seams. I sometimes would use the Contract/Expand workaround by a pixel.

I thought so, but it's messing with and changing content upto about 120 pixels outside of my selection. I can deal with a harsh seam easier than trying to restore my content it changed way outside my selection. I will try a contracted selection but that selection and see what happens. But what I really need is a way to constrain generative fill results to the selection edge or withing a few pixels of the edge.

I just gave that a shot. The problem persists, affecting more than double the selected area, but thanks for trying to help me. I really need a way to constrain generative fill results to the selection edge or withing a just few pixels of the edge
