Generative Fill not available in Photoshop 24.6 (?)

I've seen numerous Web resources claiming that Generative Fill has been incorporated in Photoshop 24.6. However, today, Adobe Cloud installed Photoshop version 24.6.0 20230615.r.573 15cc86e x64 on my computer, and there is no Generative Fill that I can see.

My PC is running on Windows 10 OS, with an Intel i9-11900 CPU; NVIDIA RTX 2080Ti GPU; 32GB RAM.

@Glutenus Max don't have it here in version 24.6 either, you can download the Beta version 24.7 which has the new Generative Fill.

There's no mention of it in the What's New section

Why is there Generative Fill in Beta 24.6. I just updated to official 24.6 but that is not available

Obviously, a few weeks is too short to have it mature, so it stays in beta for now. I think the only thing that was promised is we'll have it in the second half of this year.

I just removed beta 24.7. because I think the final 24.6 will have Generative Fill . but it was a surprise. I'm back to the beta

If the beta does not become the new update exactly (I don't think it ever does?), the beta numbering system is only leading to confusion and should use its own numbering, IMO.

Yes, it certainly confused me. I've never used the Beta versions of Photoshop, as I find the non-Beta versions to be sufficiently problamatic as it is.

Thanks for the explanation. I'll just wait patiently until it pops up in one of the future releases.

It does mention it as a new feature when you first run 24.6 in a welcome dialog box showing how you could generate a lighthouse. Thats what confused me. Maybe they decided it wasn't ready.
