Photoshop 27.7.0 on macOS.

Generative Remove consistently fails after waiting ~1–2 minutes and falls back to non-generative remove.

Generative Fill and Expand work.

Creative Cloud and Photoshop were completely reinstalled using the Cleaner Tool.

Firewall disabled.

DNS is Cloudflare/Google.

The issue disappears when using an iPhone hotspot on the same Mac and Adobe account.

It fails only on one Wi-Fi network.

Could you check the backend logs for failed Firefly requests on my account and determine whether a specific Firefly endpoint is failing?

Hey, @Toga Midland. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. I reviewed the account you used to log in, and I found an active subscription.

Does this happen with specific images or subjects? You can try using Photoshop Web (https://adobe.ly/3WkhVFm) on an alternative device & internet connection to rule out a network issue.

    Thanks!

    Hi @Sameer K ,

Thanks. I believe I've already ruled out the common causes:

    • Same Mac, same Photoshop, same Adobe account.
    • Creative Cloud and Photoshop completely reinstalled using the Cleaner Tool.
    • Firewall removed.
    • Stable Internet connection.
    • Generative Remove fails only on one Wi-Fi network.
    • The exact same image succeeds immediately when I switch the Mac to my iPhone hotspot.
    • Generative Fill and Generative Expand work; only Generative Remove consistently times out and falls back to non-generative remove.

Since the issue depends on the network rather than the image or installation, is there someone who can check the backend logs for my failed Firefly requests or advise whether Generative Remove uses a different endpoint than the other Firefly features?

I can also confirm that the problem is network-dependent rather than image-dependent, since the same images succeed over the hotspot and fail over the Wi-Fi.
