Generative Upscale Hallucinations: Do not use Adobe Firefly model

Be careful: Generative Upscale does not do what the Adobe text describes, i.e., “create a new, larger document with more detail."

Today, I tried using it on a map (Using Photoshop 27.2.0, Tahoe 26.2), thinking that it would enlarge and sharpen the file. It did not. Instead, it made up false details throughout the map. For example, it created rivers where there were not rivers, and it gave mountains shapes that were not on the original map. If I hadn't taken a closer look at the map, it would have been a total disaster.

Firefly is cearly not ready for commercial applications, and Adobe needs to better describe what it is doing with it.

Hey, @Another_ACR_User. Thanks for bringing the feedback. It'll help if you could include a sample file, and the output.

I'll share this with the product team for review.

Here are a few examples where can see rivers appearing, roads rerouting, and lakes turning into valleys.
