Glow layer effect not exporting correctly as gif

When I export a gif that has an Outer Glow layer effect it does not appear as expected, but as a fuzzy box the size of the asset. This has been happening since I updated. Any ideas on why or how to fix appreciated thanks.
(In the attached screenshot you can see a couple curved lines, the glow should just be on those.)
