Gradient tool is broken

After the latest upgrade I can no longer change the gradient tool back to classic - it is greyed out.

This seems very familiar...

Could you please post screenshots with the pertinent Panels (Toolbar, Layers, Options Bar, …) visible?

I'm running Photoshop 25.0.0 on Windows and am able to switch the Gradient tool's Method to Classic.
