Graphics processor incompatible

We got it working again. We had to run the AMD cleanup and then reinstall the original driver from HP. But we are looking into options of returning this one and getting a different machine with the dedicated graphics card. Thanks everyone for your help!

I'd recommend returning this laptop and getting one that has a discrete graphics card. On the PC side, integrated graphics are not powerful enough for Photoshop.

This is not true for Mac computers, as they use a different system design where integrated graphics on current models is fine.

The failing component here is OpenCL. This is a problem that has hit quite a few users lately.

OpenCL is currently being phased out from Photoshop, because it's deprecated on both platforms and no longer supported or developed. This will all be replaced by DirectX on Windows and Metal on Mac. But for the moment, there are still some PS functions that use it.

All that said, an integrated AMD GPU is really not up to Photoshop's current standards. You may expect more problems in the future. You really need a dedicated GPU like a Nvidia RTX-series or similar.

@Sara345135136uoy can you post your Photoshop system info, in Photoshop go to Help > System Info, hit the copy button and paste the entire thing into this thread

I do realize now that the GPU doesn't meet the minimum requirements, but that doesn't explain why it worked great for 3 weeks and now doesn't want to work at all. Drivers are all up to date, i've searched all the help files, everything is clicked to high performance. Nothing seems to work.
