Hand appears when trying to use tools in the toolbar

When you hold the spacebar you get the hand tool. It's possible your spacebar was "stuck". Sometimes it goes rogue and thinks the spacebar is being held down or the keyboard is sticky or whatever. Hasn't happened to me in a long time but I occassionally see others on here with the issue. Just tapping it can get it to "let go". If it keeps happening, try resetting your preference to see if it helps. Make sure there is nothing on your keyboard causing the spacebar to stick and make sure you are always up to date with your Photoshop. 

I awlays use the spacebar to bring up the hand to quickly move something-- use it a bunch and it will become second nature you wont even have to think about it.

My wife tried google to find an answer and one suggestion was to hit the space bar. It worked !!!
