Healing brush issues (Progress bar??)

24.7.5 version.

Suddenly, the healing brush is lagging, taking forever on a simple click. It creates a colored circle on the area and then a window emerges with a progress bar to the finish which can take anywhere from 10-20+ seconds? It was always instantaneous? What has changed or what I am doing wrong? I tried rebooting and the issue remains.
