Help! Artboards keep crashing!

Hello!

Anytime I tried to create, delete, edit, or do anything with a new artboard, it immediately crashes my photoshop and I have to force quit. I have waited over 15 minutes one time to see if it was time it needs, but no dice.

Attached screenshot videos for ref. The only way I can get it to work is using Photoshop 2024.

Any assistance is appreciated!

Eternal wait-then-FE  isn't the same as a crash. Seems to me to be a symptom of some kind of collision, like a Beta version.

Which Ps version are you running? Have you watched Activity Monitor? Did you notice multiple instances of Ps running?

A memory issue was brought up before Ps 2026 (v27) was released, when apps chewed up available RAM.

Grasping at straws...

Hey, @jalitzapizza. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. As @creative explorer, @John Waller, & @LAMY2017 mentioned, we'll need more transparent information about this.

I couldn't locate any crash reports submitted by your account used for Community. Please share the video of the issue through any other platform, and include the system information from Photoshop Help > System Info> Copy and paste into a text document > Upload and attach it here.

Does this happen when you use any image? Could you try disabling GPU compositing? Here's how you can do it:

1 - Go to Photoshop in the top menu > Edit >  Preferences, then Performance.
2 - Click on Advanced Settings.
3 - Uncheck the GPU Compositing option.

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks!

@jalitzapizza you may have better luck posting the video on YouTube because I and maybe others are leery in downloading a video
