HELP! crop box and how to videos appearing on every photo

I am a longtime photoshop user. Suddenly every tool I select a how-to video pops up and I can't use the tool. ALSO, on every photo I open, there is a stationary crop box in the middle of the photo that I can't move. I can't crop. I can't do anything. I have turned off my computer, uninstalled ALL apps and reinstalled. Been trying to fix for five days and am on a severe deadline of TODAY!!! Help!

In Photoshop go to Edit>Preferences>Tools, uncheck Show Rich Tooltips, then go to Edit>Preferences>Technology Previews and check Enable Focus Mode.

 

Restart Photoshop for the settings to take effect.

I'm late to Enable Focus Mode, but that's because I already adjusted my Preferences not to show Rich Tool Tips and to use the Neutral Color Mode. But to be safe, I checked it on.

 

Did 26.7 address your complaint about the tutorials menu showing up while editing a document?
