Higher-contrast UI labels for 4K displays (Dell U2725QE, 200% scaling)
Photoshop’s Options bar, Preferences labels, and panel headers are very light gray and hard to read on my 4K Dell U2725QE—even with Lightest theme, Large UI font, and 200% UI scaling. The fields/values are fine, but the labels lack contrast.
What I’ve tried:
Windows Display Scale = 200%
Photoshop UI Font Size = Large, UI Scaling = 200%
Color Theme = Lightest and second-lightest
Monitor calibrated (Dell UltraSharp U2725QE 27″ 4K IPS Black)
Text in other apps is clear; Photoshop’s label gray remains too faint
Proposed solution:
Please add an independent “Label/Text Contrast” control or High-Contrast UI Mode that renders labels (Options bar, panel headers, Preferences labels) in a darker tone without changing document appearance. A simple toggle like “High-contrast labels” would solve this for high-PPI users and those with reduced contrast sensitivity.
Setup: Dell U2725QE, Windows 200% scale, Photoshop Large UI font + 200% UI scaling, Lightest theme.
