How can I change language in text box in Photoshop?

My photoshop is student version. While I copied word text in text box, English text becomes other language. I checked the Match Font under Type, only two options- Roman, Japanese. Language options under Type,only Eastern Asia features to select. How can I fix it? I want to copy English text into the Text Box .

Can you tell us what happened when you followed the directions in this thread from @gener7 ?

In Edit > Preferences > Type, choose Latin and East Asian Text Layout

Select only Latin and East Asian in the Paragraph Panel option.

At the bottom of the Character Panel, choose English USA or English UK.
