Question

How can I duplicate Dream Filter from PSExpress in PS Desktop?

Since Adobe won't support PS Express in Mac OS (but they do in Windows for some unknown reason) how can I duplicate that beautiful Dream Filter available only on PS Express in PS desktop?  Does anyone have a formula of settings they can share or perhaps someone made a preset they can share?  I'd appreciate it!

Well, Photoshop for iOS and ipadOS is not available for Android and Substance Designer only for Windows …

So Adobe not supporting all the applications they offer for all platforms might be becoming increasingly normal.

Can you post before/after examples of this particular Filter?

It's also been "normal" for Adobe to never ever show a glint of concern for customers or their needs let alone, heaven forbid surprise us or delight us with extra value beyond what we might hope for.  Dream Filter was a preset from PSExpress and it appers to have a lot of filters amalgamated into one including vibrance, face smoothing, some possible soft focus that works on skin, increased ontrast and others I can't identify readily.  I appreciate the idea that you'd consider trying to backwards engineer it but there's a particular formula (probably akin to KFC's 11 herbs and spices 😃) that works "magic" and makes it really easy to get what people would like out of snap shots (to look better than they actually do in real life!) and I would feel guilty asking someone to put forth effort in trying to crack the code just for me.

I've read CP's response three times and do not see where he said he would consider reverse engineering, which would, btw, break Adobe's Terms Of Use. (I'm not sure that you meant that.)

What he did say was, "Can you post before/after examples of this particular Filter?" There may or may not be ways in Photoshop to achieve a similar effect.

I did find a page from Adobe with several ideas for making "dreamy" images. You may have Lightroom if you have either the Photography or All Apps plan. Otherwise use Adobe Camera Raw, which is included with Photoshop.
