How do I change the size of an image (pixels) without loosing proportion?

Hi,

I need to change an existing Image ( in Photoshop) with the size of 570x290px to 620x400px.

So I changed the size of the picture in Photoshop following these steps: "Picture" -> "Size of the image". But unfortunately it didn't adapt the font size so that it looks blurred. I searched the problem on google and there it says that I have to activate the function called "keep proportion". I activated this function but now I'm not able to customize the size of the image.

So how can I change the size of the image without loosing proportion?

Many thanks in advance

Pixel images are getting blurry when upscaling. There is nothing you can do, except avoiding it. The reason for this lies in the fact that the computer needs to “invent” content in between. Programs like Photoshop use advanced algorithms to smooth out the problems, but there is no miracle solution.

Upscale also generally works best with big images, you simply have more content to detect sharp edges that need to be kept sharp.

What you do, however, is upscaling without considering the aspect ratio. The width is scaled by 9%, but the height is scaled by 38%. You simply distort the image.

Look here for more information: Resize images in Photoshop

The “chain” icon indicates, that height and width are linked and behave proportionally.
