Question

How do I fix white glitch?

Hi, I'm having a constant issue with photoshop whenever I'm moving images or text around. When I move the image or text, it leaves a white glitch, like a sort of trail. The only way I'm able to get rid of it, is by making the layer not visible and then making it visible again. However, the glitch appears once again if I move the image or text again.

Does anyone know how I'm able to fix this? Leaving an image as reference below. The white triangle is the glitch and what I was trying to move is a text.

Thanks!

HI @defaultly7saaa54nah

I understand that encountering problems with the software can be discouraging. I'm committed to assisting you and getting things back on track.

Which version of Windows and Photoshop have you installed? Are your graphics drivers up to date?

Ensure you have the latest graphics card drivers installed on your Windows computer. Outdated drivers can sometimes cause display issues in applications like Photoshop. Visit the website of your graphics card manufacturer to download and install the latest drivers for your specific card model.

Go to Photoshop Preferences/Technology Preview and check "Disable Native Canvas," Does that help?

Sometimes, graphics processing unit (GPU) acceleration can cause display issues in Photoshop. Try turning off GPU acceleration in Photoshop by going to Preferences > Performance and unchecking the "Use Graphics Processor" option. Restart Photoshop and see if the glitches persist.

Let us know how it goes.

Best,

Ranjisha

It's got so we routinely suggest Deactivate Native Canvas for the most unlikely of situations, so long as they are display related, and yet I am still often surprised when the OP tells us that it worked.

Hi, this worked. I unchecked the "use graphics processor" option and so far the glitch hasn't happened. Thanks so much!
