how do i install downloaded brushes into Photoshop mac version

    Step 1 : Download the brush file to ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CS6/Presets/Brushes.

    Step 2: Open Photoshop and open up a document.

    Step 3: Click the Brush tool, then click the sized brush, then the small arrow and hit ‘Load Brushes’, choose the brushes you want and then hit OK.

    The brushes should now appear in your list and be able to be selected and used. They should also appear the next time you fire up Photoshop.

    I keep a copy of all my brushes in a folder outside of Photoshop.  Photoshop updates seem to come round so quickly, it's just plain quicker if you keep all those extras, that you have collected over the years, readily to hand.
