How do I toggle the before/after in Select and Mask inside Photoshop?

I like using 'On Black' in the View Mode for select and mask, but I would like to know how I can view my original outlines quickly to compare to the new one to see if I'm moving in the right direction with my Global Refinements. Is there a quick way to toggle this? Thanks for the help!

Thanks, that seems to remove the black background though. I'd like to see if I can keep that, and see what it looked like before I started making changes. Does that make sense?

Hi Jane, thanks for the response.

To be a bit more specific. here is a part of the original image:

After multiple changes, I eventually come to this:

How do I toggle these two views, from my original, to the new and improved?

I hope that makes more sense.

Thanks again for your help!

Hi Nate,

You may try tapping the letter X key to temporarily disable the view modes.

Let us know if it helps.
