How I can reposition Timeline tool panel inside the screen in Photoshop?

I usually work with a 27" screen attached to my Macbook Pro, but when I unplug it, the Timeline panel is weirdly positioned off the screen and I can do nothing to get it into place if I don't have the second screen to position it beforehand where it won't do this.

Now I'm away from my second screen and I can't do anything to grab the panel. I tried restarting Photoshop, restarting the app, changing the screen resolution, using another version of Photoshop, resetting the workspace, but nothing works, it's stuck up there and can't get my work done in my MacBook.

What can I do?

I'm using macOS Big Sur 11.6.3 on a Macbook Pro 2018, all up to date and the latest Photoshop 2022.

To reproduce:

  1. Use a big screen with a 13" Macbook. Openm Photoshop.
  2. One the big screen, set as main screen, place the Timeline panel in the bottom right corner, next to the usual panels in the right (layers, etc).
  3. Unplug the MacBook.

Result: The panel is off the screen in the upper left corner,

Expected: The panel is wherever it wants but inside the screen.

Correct answer Carola_BHG

After going back and forth with it I managed to solve it! So I'll tell for others or myself in the future if/when I don't remember to do this. After trying to resize the rogue panel dragging from thge bottom right corner, it just popped in the screen! So I was able to drag it inside again.

In this case a current workspace reset does the trick and everything get back to normal…

Hey! Thanks for sharing. If you re-read my post, I tried that, and a few other things that didn't work. I managed to get control of the panel trying to resize it.

I have more or less the same config as yours (mac book pro + 2 LG 24 screens)

If i unplug the screens it is a real mess on the mac.

Maybe you could try to change the mac screen resolution
