How to apply a mask to a single layer among others

I want to brighten an image layer, but do not want to affect the other layers below. Is it possible?

Hey @SSL-ADT!

To do that, just right-click on the mask layer and select "Create Clipping Mask." Make sure the layer you want the mask to affect is right below it!
