How to clear PS temp files from scratch disk?

Once or twice a year my scratch disk fills up with PS temp flies and my MAC slows way down. I usually end up calling support to clear these junk files. Adobe does a really poor job of supporting this issue on the website: my searches lead to articles about the scratch disk that don't answer the simple question of how to clear it.

Any help will be appreciated. This year I will make notes for myself, once I re-learn the solution.

Also, does anyone know the current phone support hours? I can't find them on the website and they appear to hav e changed.

If scratch files pile up, it means your computer isn't shutting down properly. That's the real problem, and you should try to solve that.

But if you do get these persistent temp files, you can just delete them. There's no need to call support. They will be in your user account Temp directory, named "Photoshop Temp<12 digit number>.

Here's where you find this is on Windows, but I don't do Mac:

If you have your scratch disk set to a different drive than the system drive, they will be at the root of that drive.
