Question

How to efficiently batch export layers to files?

In CS6, which I recently upgraded from, there was an script called "export layers to files" in the file menu. It was immensely helpful for exporting multiple different image layers at once and allowed me to choose a file type, resolution, quality, etc. However this seems to have been done away with in CC in favor of the "Quick Export as PNG" function, which is clunky as all hell. I'm no longer allowed to choose my settings for batch exports? The exported images end up being 3-4x larger file sizes than they should be and it only exports as PNG. Is there a way to replicate the "Export Layers to files" function? Because the new function they've replaced it with is a massive downgrade. I'm now forced to save my image layers individually to get reasonable file sizes and it takes 10 times longer.
