how to make it more chocolatey and not so chiney?

this is my ai glider. I need it more chocolaty and less fake and shiny-

any siggestions?

The colors are a little light and yellowish, so you would want to darken those. And the shine is the result of a lot of contrast, so reducing contrast can help.

One way to do both at the same time is to add a gradient map adjustment layer (click the 4th icon from the left at the bottom of the Layers panel and select Gradient Map... or go to Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Gradient Map... Then you can set the ramp to be used. This gradient will remap to the colors in your image. Then you can add a blend mode and/or Opacity to adjust how it looks in the end.

Here's how I set up the gradient, and I also set the Gradient Map 1 layer to Multiply in the Layers panel.

I like to use the Camera RAW filter for this sort of edit, as it is a one-stop-shop for everything. Plus you can save settings a preset to apply to other images.

BTW PNG files with transparency can't be copied and pasted from forum to Photoshop. Doing so causes the black backgrounds. You need to save to a local drive and open from there.

I should have mentioned that's the cause of the black. I will almost always copy/paste to answer a question faster--especially if the question isn't about the transparency. And about 99% of the time, I don't even save the file where I paste it unless I think there's something useful that I'd like to revisit. 🙂
