How to remove previous yesrs from copyright drop-down list in File Info

Aologies if this has been discussed already; I haven't been able to find

Is there a way to remove the copyright information for previous years from the drop-down list in File Info?

To be clear, I do not want to remove the copyright info from files. I just want to get rid of the 2024 copyright date that always comes up first in the list.

Thanks for any suggestions!

In Photoshop 2025, 26.6.0, under Settings, the only option I see is Delete AutoComplete List, with no option to selectively delete dates. But that’s okay, since I really want only two, for my own pictures, and for slides I’m scanning for my parents. Those are easy enough to fill in.

Thank you!

@ealadner

Clearing auto-complete prefs wipes everything, not just one specific field (It would be nice if we could just right-click in the required field and clear auto-complete from only that field):

Click the popup menu next to the Preferences button and select Template Folder. Delete the ones you don't want.

That's right, I was lamenting and wishing for selective field reset, rather than global.

Just a guess, but have you tried Bridge > Metadata?

No, I actually don’t normally use Bridge, but I’ll take a look at it.

Thanks!
