Huge VRAM Usage - Camera Raw

Hello,

After I replaced my GPU from 1050 Ti to 4070, I expected an improvement in performance, but instead got crashes, out of video memory errors. I'm on the latest drivers, tried to reinstall both Studio and Game-ready Drivers and the issue still happens.

Does anyone know the solution?

I'm using the latest stable Photoshop and Camera Raw.

I'll add my other two cents what improved my experience hugely in Adobe Bridge in conjunction with ACR:

Go to the NVIDIA-Control-Panel (right klick on your Desktop), then

--> 3D-Settings

--> Manage 3D-Settings

--> Either under the Global-tab or set it up specifically for Adobe Bridge

--> Cuda - Sysmem Fallback Policy:          Change this to Prefer Sysmem Fallback

As far as my understanding goes, ACR / Bridge won't touch the system RAM in certain circumstances and for certain calculations. This setting allows your graphics card to off-load files stored in VRAM to go to RAM. It will be somewhat slower in some cases, but at least my PC now keeps on functioning even with VRAM filled to the brim.

Still, RAM will keep on climbing over time and force a restart of Bridge eventually.

Hi @Yaros1 Go to Photoshop Help Menu/System Info and copy/paste details in a reply. Post only once as the system takes time to process the large amount of data.
