I can't open Brush Settings

Hi!

My name is Claribel and I am new to photoshop 2024 and to shotoshop in general. For some unknown reason, I can't open Brush Tip Shape to access shape dynamics under BRUSH SETTING. Everything is shaded gray. I am able to open and access BRUSHES with no problem. Can someone show me how to troubleshoot?

Hi Claribel.  Cool name.

 

The only way I could force Brush Tip Shape to grey out with a brush tool selected, was with the Color Replacement tool

 

If you click the brush tool in the Toolbar, and hold down for a second, it will fly out and show you the options.  I remove the B shortcut from everything but the plain brush tool, so I know for sure that when I hit the B key, I am getting the plain vanilla brush.

 

If this doesn't help, can you show us a screenshot of your workspace?  It needs to be the entire screen showing the layers panel and toolbar.

 

I actually rather suspect that you have already worked this out.
