I can't open the current Photoshop v27.5 on my PC (for the first time ever). I deleted the old version and re-installed the current one. The startup illustration flashes on the screen for a second and then disappears and then nothing happens.

Try holding down the Shift key just after starting the launch of Photoshop and when a dialog appears asking if you want to Skip loading optional and third party plug-ins? click Yes and see if Photoshop starts.

I can't open the current Photoshop v27.5 on my PC…

@MNonyaBusiness  Which exact version of Photoshop do you mean? The recent release version is 27.4 and the latest Beta version is 27.6.

Try to manually removing the preferences files. This is the most complete method for restoring to the default state. The manual method ensures all preferences which may be causing a problem and prevents Photoshop form loading.

    Please follow the steps below:

    1. Quit Photoshop.
    2. Navigate to Photoshop's Preferences folder.
MacOS: ...Users/[user name]/Library/Preferences/Adobe Photoshop [version] Settings
Windows: ...Users/[user name]/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop [version]/Adobe Photoshop [version] Settings

Note: The User Library folder is hidden by default. To access the content in the hidden folders see here:
MacOS: Access hidden macOS library files
Windows: Show hidden files, folders, and filename extensions in Windows

    3. Drag the entire Adobe Photoshop [Version] Settings folder to a safe place to a backup your settings

    4. Open Photoshop.

New preferences files with the default settings will be created automatically.

Ok. In Germany I see (and also read) nothing about 27.5 until now

    Hi!

Do you mean that this is the first time you are logging in to that version on you PC, or the first time you have not been able to log in with v27.5?

Have you checked that your hardware and your Graphics Processor card are compatible with the latest version?

Here is a help doc that gives you the specific hardware requirements to run v27 on your machine: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/desktop/get-started/technical-requirements-installation/adobe-photoshop-on-desktop-technical-requirements.html

Please take a look and see if you meet these— and let us know if you still need help?
