I cannot open my files - the programme shuts down. BUT I can scan and produce an image.

Question

I canot open any of my files. I can scan and work on an image bUT after  have saved it I cannot re open it? Where do I go for help? I have re installed but it makes no difference.

@dorothymwalker Please be more specific. Which file type you're using? Which files can't be opened, .jpg, .psd?

Do you get any error messages?

Try to reset the preferences of Photoshop using the steps described here:

It's recommended to backup your settings before resetting the preferences.

Please provide a copy of your 'System Info'. This can be get from the Photoshop menu item Help > System Info. There's a copy button in the System Info dialog. Press this button and paste the info into your next forum post.
