I have just updated to PS26.7.0 , BUT STILL I cannot burn using the curve method.

I have just updated to PS26.7.0 , BUT STILL I cannot burn using the curve method.

Dodging using brush tool on macbook trackpad works fine. But when I try to add a curve/ burn layer, it doesnt burn. I have tried everything. I want to keep using PS as I need it for work. Its very disappointing.

You need to have the Foreground Color in the Tools panel set to White in order to reveal the Curves adjustment on the layer below.

 

You can easily switch Foreground and Background colors in the Tools panel by pressing X on your keyboard.

 

To set the default Tools panel Foreground and Background colors of Black-Foreground and White-Background press D on your keyboard.

If a Layer Mask is selected then pressing D will make the Foreground White and the Background Black.
