I type one word, photoshop spreads everywhere in the document. it is wasting my effort

That definitely sounds frustrating when text behaves unexpectedly while you’re typing. A few quick things you can check:

• Try typing in a fresh new document to see if the issue persists there
• Check if your keyboard is repeating input (you can test in another app)
• Temporarily reset Text tool.

• Your Photoshop version (Help > About Photoshop)
• OS version
• Whether it happens in all files or just one
• Short screen recording showing the workflow.
