I want to crop and align these two photos how do I do that?

I think it would be neat to crop both of these photos so the subject roughly lines up on each photo. I don’t know how to do that, so how do I do that?

Idk if it matters but I’m on macOS.

    Please select both Layers and try 

    Edit > Auto-Align Layers 

     

    Alternatively converting the two Layers to Smart Objects, changing opacity of the top one to 50% and using Edit > Free Transform would provide an option.

    After aligning the two images you can crop the image with the Crop Tool; you may want to turn off the Crop Tool’s  »Delete Cropped Pixels«, though, in case you need to change the crop later on.
