Question

I want to draw straight line using brush tool in all angles, but it fades

I'm using a Huion tablet. Whenever I draw straight lines using shift at different angles, they fade. The size and opacity of my beginning anchor point aren't the same as the line I created. It works fine on vertical and horizontal lines. So how do I fix this?

Hey, @anony_pisting_yawa. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. I'll move this post to discussions. I'll need more info to help you figure this out. Please share the system info from Photoshop Help > System info > Copy and paste into a text document > upload and attach here. Are you using any stylus input or just the regular mouse and keyboard?

 

In this case, you can begin by resetting the Brush tool itself. Right-click on the Brush Tool icon in the Toolbar menu and select Reset Tool.

Hello, @Sameer K. I am using a Huion Inspiroy 1060p. I have done the reset tool, but it didn't work.  Though I have found a different way but it's not satisfactory. When I increase my brush size compared to the size that I want and just lightly damp my stylus, it gives me my desired stroke. It also normally works specifically on hard and soft round brushes, and when I'm using a mouse (applies to all brushes).

Thanks for sharing the system. Here are a few things you can try:

1 - The drivers for the Nvidia graphics adapter are about 13 months old. Please update the GPU Drivers from Nvidia's auto-detect program. Head here to troubleshoot the GPU in Photoshop: https://adobe.ly/3H4x7RL;

2 - Disable Brush Smoothing: Go to the top toolbar and set Smoothing to 0%. High smoothing can cause the brush stroke to taper or fade, especially at the start or end of a line.
