On startup, Photoshop 24.6 has missing icons in the left tool bar. See the screenshot.

Hi @Chezwell

It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.

Many thanks to all who replied. Very kind of you.

The problem still exists. As a next step, I uninstalled Photoshop including deleting all plugins and settings. I then rebooted the machine and reinstalled Photoshop. The problem is still there.

I am running Photoshop on two machines: a desktop mwith Windows 11 and a laptop with Windows 10. I have only seen the problem on the Windows 11 machine.

Hi Chezwell , Try these settings

Go to Windows > Workspace and select Essentials (Default)

or

Try to Reset Essentials

or Try reset of work space by going to Edit>Preferences>Workspace>Restore Default workspaces

@dnemeth01 try manually resetting your Photoshop preferences

Remember to backup your settings before doing the preference reset

Mine disappear also.  This happened a couple days before I downloaded the latest update.
I can power on and restart the laptop until I get the tool icons back.  😞
