Image processor pro deleted original layered file

I used image processor pro to save all the PSDs in a subfolder in JPG format. Well it did just that and despite bering very careful and ensuring that I was saving the output in a different folder, it deleted the original PSDs. Is there any way to recover these? I have a hard time believing that I'm just out hours of work because a Photoshop feature operating in an unexpected fashion. If I'm out hours of work, it would have been better opening every individual PSD and saving it as a JPG. Why would it delete the original after saving a JPG to a different folder? Aboslutely rediculous...

Image Processor Pro is a 3rd party script.

I have used it in many versions over the years without such issues.

I do apologize, I had read sloppily and mistakenly referred to Image Processor.

I hadn’t installed Image Processor Pro in a while but back when I used it I also didn’t observe anything like unintended file-removal.

Your description seems to lack relevant information.

What were the Image Processor settings, if you ran an Action via Image Processor what was it, …?

I have never observed Image Processor removing images myself.

If that really happened what are the back-up-options you are using?

Have you done a system-wide search for the layered files?
