Question

Image Processor Pro "source folder does not exist"

Hello!

I have a problem with Image Processor Pro in Photoshop on Mac. When I put the folder on my Mac (Desktop, Documents, whichever...) as source folder, I get an error message stating that "Source folder does not exist" and "Possible empty folder". The folder of course exists and is not empty.

When I put the folder on my server as source folder, the action runs like it should.

Since my files are a big and the server is slow, this is not a great option for me.

Do you have any reccommendations?

I've seen this with IPP and haven't bothered trying to fix it but I need to do some troubleshooting.

It's also not a good idea to write directly over the network as this can lead to file corruptions.

Have you tried other local folders such as Documents in your user account, or new folders created using the script browse?

Yes, I tried Desktop, Downloads and Documents folders, either existing or created using the script browse.

I contacted Adobe through chat in the meantime and the agent performed a clean install and it actually worked for two script actions and now I recieve the same error.

Hi!

My best guess is it's a permissions problem, managed by the mac OS. I'm no expert, so look up how to give Photoshop app permissions to access your folders. I've had headaches with this in the past.

Let us know if you get anywhere!

Are your Desktop and Document folders being synced to iCloud? If so, that could be the problem. You could try turning of the syncing:

Hi Myra,

thank you for your suggestion, unfortunately my Desktop and Documents folders are not syncing to iCloud.
