Importing Color Checker Passport Camera Profile in Camera Raw.

Hello everyone.

In the past, I would shoot RAW, and I would also shoot a RAW file of the Passport Photo Color Checker for camera calibration. Inside Adobe Camera Raw, I created a DNG file, and I used the Color Checker Passport to generate a calibration profile, which I saved in this folder: C:\Users\User Name\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CameraRaw\CameraProfiles

Later, inside Camera Raw under Camera Calibration, I would select the profile name created from the Passport calibration.

It seems that Camera Calibration inside Camera Raw is different now. In other words, I can’t select my custom calibration profile anymore.

Thanks.

    Hi,

In modern versions of Adobe Camera Raw (ACR), custom camera profiles are no longer accessed via the old "Camera Calibration" tab. Instead, they have been moved to the Profile Browser.

Here is how you can locate and select your custom ColorChecker Passport profile:

    1. Open your RAW image in Adobe Camera Raw.
    2. At the top of the Edit panel on the right, locate the "Profile" field.
    3. Click the Profile Browser icon (the icon with four small rectangles next to the Profile dropdown menu).
    4. Scroll down the Profile Browser to the "Profiles" or "User Profiles" section. Your custom DCP profile saved in the CameraProfiles folder should automatically appear there.

A few important troubleshooting notes if it doesn't appear:
    - Camera Model Matching: Custom DCP profiles created via ColorChecker are camera-model specific. Ensure the RAW file currently open in ACR was shot with the exact same camera model used to generate the profile.
    - Manual Import Option: If it still doesn't show up, click the Options (...) menu at the top of the Profile Browser/Presets panel, select "Import Profiles & Presets...", and select your .dcp or .xmp file directly.

Hope this helps you find your custom profiles again!

    Dear Henry.

Thank you very much. I followed your instruction, and now it is working. You are correct, you have to use the same Raw images that was shoot with that camera, My Raw images were mixed up. Thanks Again.
