In Photoshop 27.11.0 I cannot move a marquis selection box anymore. This is huge, MUST FIX!!!

When I select a figure in one image  it does not show up in a new image I am trying to make.  This is an impossible situation for those of us who work on various ideas in our work process!!!

Is the tool set to “new selection”?

Edit: forgot to say that the cursor has to be inside the selection.

Agreed. I use this all the time. Without the ability to move the selection area this tool is effectively useless.

Thank you for sharing the details. To help us investigate this further, could you please provide the following information?

• Does this happen with all files, or only with specific files?

• Are you able to reproduce the issue consistently after restarting Photoshop?

• Please share a short screen recording showing the behavior, if possible.

• Please go to Help > System Info, copy the complete system information, and share it with us.

As a troubleshooting step, we would also recommend resetting Photoshop preferences. Before doing so, please make sure to back up any custom preferences, presets, actions, brushes, workspaces, or other settings that you would like to retain.

Once your custom settings are backed up, please reset Photoshop preferences and check whether you can move the marquee selection normally again.
